2021 Nissan Navara Changes and Specs

Neither Frontier nor Titan is the best-selling trucks by the Japanese manufacturer Nissan. Actually, that is Navara. It is not available in the US, but the rest of the world is crazy about this pickup. The new 2021 Nissan Navara is going through a redesign and the vehicle will debut as the all-new model. It is one of the top priorities for the truckmaker and some experts are even considering it as the new US mid-size pickup, which will replace the Frontier.

The current generation is aging. However, Nissan is not going to launch the new one, but rather redesign the 2021 Navara. Still, the new look will draw attention and expand the interest in the pickup. The truck is already produced in few factories around the world, including Mexico, South America, Asia, and Europe. Navara also served as the base for several other vehicles, including the Patrol SUV and Mercedes Benz X-Class.

2021 Nissan Navara Redesign

Nissan is going strong into the next season. We already know the carmaker is preparing a lot of updates and the most important vehicles will be out first. In the US, there are Frontier pickup and premium Infiniti SUVs. However, the rest of the world will eagerly wait for the 2021 Nissan Navara redesign.

The Japanese company did change a few things since the third generation of the Navara stepped into the market in 2014. However, this will be the first larger update that can bring the new look. Still, we believe the exterior is not so important and it can’t bring anything radical. On the other hand, the interior should make the work more comfortable.

2021 Nissan Navara Engines, V6 Specs

The only petrol engine for the 2021 Nissan Navara is the same 2.5-liter unit its US sibling is using. With 150 hp and 170 lb-ft, it cannot pull too much cargo. Still, it finds buyers in some markets. However, way more popular pickups are with diesel engines. A pair of these is going to be available again – a 2.3 and 2.5 displacements.

A smaller displacement is turbocharged and pretty capable. It can produce 190 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. This one is even considered as a possibility for the US appearance under the hood of the Frontier diesel. A 2.5-liter is less likely, although it is also very potent. With 170 hp and 295 pound-feet, it can be a competitor to the Chevy Colorado diesel. However, emission rating is still far away from acceptable for the US market.

Competition

While the Frontier is struggling in the major stage in the world, Navara is the best-selling truck in most countries. That doesn’t mean there is no competition. Toyota is present with Hilux, while Ford is competing with Ranger. Also, there are a few other trucks that we can’t find in the US, such as Mitsubishi L200, Isuzu D-Max, or VW Amarok.

The new 2021 Nissan Navara will swipe the competition with special editions. For example, the N-Trek is based on the Warrior concept. Fans are still waiting for the Titan to get this version now when the turbodiesel engine is removed from the offer.
