A couple of things could happen to the 2023 Ford F-150. The electric truck is almost certain and it could be presented already next year. The concept is out as the F-150 Lightning. That is not the only model that will draw attention. Another truck based on the legendary model is the Raptor R. Standard Raptor is not so ordinary. And this one, it is going to compete with the Ram TRX Hellcat and its 6.2-liter supercharged engine.
The latest generation of the 2023 Ford F-150 debuted this year. Ford is not done yet, especially with the competition growing stronger. The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is not the first electric truck. Tesla Cybertruck is already making an impact. Also, the TRX Hellcat is finally in production. That called out for the new, improved version of the Raptor, called Raptor R.
There is no need to change the rest of the lineup. The F-150 will keep all the engines and packages.
Raptor R: More Than the Raptor
Current Raptor was a synonym for an off-road truck. No other model could compete with it. But now, when the FCA finally delivered so-called Raptor-killer TRX Hellcat pickup with 700 horsepower, it was Ford’s turn to respond. The Blue Oval company is not wasting time. The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is going to beat this output with 750 ponies. A 6.2-liter V8 is supercharged and ready for the battle. The Raptor R is not all about the power, but also the appearance. Test mules are not showing too much, but the upcoming performance truck is going to be something else. Some experts believe there won’t be big exterior differences between the standard and R version.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck
The new version is official on the website. But, not too many important details can be found there. Range, styling, everything is still a mystery. For example, GM announced what could high-end Hummer look like. Of course, CrabWalk and Extract Mode won’t be there on the base model, as well as an electric motor that provides 300 miles of range. Like with a diesel engine, the two companies are going to create similar systems and trucks should cost pretty close each other. But, the Hummer seems to be closer to the production. Be Patient, Don’t Buy 2022 YM, Wait For the 2023 Ford F-150
Since big changes are announced for the 2023 season, you don’t have to rush and purchase the version for the 2022 year, especially if you are looking for electric or high-performance edition. Well, those will be pricey, but worth of waiting. The leading truckmaker is not going to disappoint its fans and the entire world. The base truck with its trim level lineup is still the best-seller and every other company wants to challenge Ford. It makes the company go forward, creating new projects and configurations.
