Chevrolet is using momentum and builds up the truck squad for next season. After the next-gen Silverado 1500 debut in Detroit, we could see medium-duty trucks lineup a month later. Now, it is time for 2020 Chevy Silverado HD to step up and continue the show. However, there is still a year and more until production of these trucks starts, but the debut will happen soon. Or we can say it already started with first teaser images released by Chevrolet.
One photo can’t tell too much. Well, in this case, it does, but not as much as we would like to hear. The only front fascia of the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD is in this picture. If we see the production model with such anterior, then there is no doubt that Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD will be among the most stylish heavy-duty trucks in the offer.
2020 Chevy Silverado HD Teaser Photo Unveils Completely New Front Fascia
Where to start? The new design of the grille and other components is shown. The company is probably checking the opinions of fans and enthusiasts. You can take a look and judge if you like it or not.
Redesigned Lights
First of all, the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD won’t use a bowtie badge. The opening change is just a start. Headlights get a unique design, with two lamps split by a horizontal bar. Upper lights are angular. Standard headlights are under the bar, and this composition seems to be both bold and aggressive. The styling is worth of some luxurious sedan. Again, these will provide enough illumination to boost up the safety.
More Aggressive Hood
Not only that lights will see the redesign, but also the hood. Above the grille, we can see a big addition to the hood, as the massive scoop shows up. This is another air-vent system so the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD can cool its V-8 engines, either petrol or diesel one.
2020 Chevy Silverado HD Powertrains
Under the hood of the 2020 Chevy Silverado HD won’t be such big changes and surprises. The HD lineup will use the same engines as before. For Chevrolet Silverado 2500 heavy-duty, these are 6.0-liter petrol and 6.6-liter Duramax diesel. Both of these are V-8 units capable to deliver a massive amount of power.
In addition, the 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 will offer the CNG/LPG capable drivetrain. It is the same 6.0-liter Vortec V-8 we can find on 2500 HD model.
2020 Chevy Silverado HD Production Starts in Summer of 2019
Yes, this is already confirmed. The 2020 Chevy Silverado HD lineup will be shown by the end of this year. The company will only present the concept of the redesigned heavy-duty trucks. However, the production will start in the second half of next year. We will see Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 in salons late in 2019.
The pricing is unknown yet since we still don’t know what else Chevrolet is preparing. Whatsoever, we doubt any major raise will happen. Base models will keep most of the features they offer now, while designers could boost the offer with extra packages.
