Nissan is producing the only truck positioned between the full-size and heavy-duty segment. Titan XD has no competition, at least until Ram 2000 becomes reality. The next season will bring more excitement because of the novelties we will see in the lineup. Warrior concept could finally enter production. Also, the lines of the 2020 Nissan Titan XD will be more aggressive, and it will lure younger buyers.
Changes on the 2020 Nissan Titan XD will create more space inside the cabin. Also, more infotainment parts will improve overall impression, especially among hi-tech fans. Titan XD Warrior will take the top position with the combination of luxury and utility. Massive outputs and premium equipment will raise the cost of this version above all others.
Specs
The new 2020 Nissan Titan XD will continue to use a 5.6-liter V8 engine. This unit is capable to produce 390 horsepower. A full-size SUV Nissan Armada is also getting power from it. Torque is above 400 lb-ft. The drivetrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Tow- and four-wheel drives are available configurations. Properly equipped, the truck can tow 9,000 pounds.
2020 Nissan Titan XD Diesel
Definitely, a diesel engine is making the difference between the Titan XD and other full-size trucks. For this model, a 5.0-liter turbo unit is capable to create 310 hp and 555 lb-ft. Ford F-150 is getting a diesel engine with 250 hp and 450 lb-ft of twist. Similar outputs will come from Ram 1500 diesel and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 diesel.
Instead of an 8-speed transmission, the 2020 Nissan Titan XD Diesel will use a six-speed automatic gearbox. As its petrol sibling, this power can send power to two or all four wheels. This combo is good for 12,000 pounds of towing capacity. However, we can hear rumors that Titan XD could get a dual-rear wheel setup, which will increase towing capacity, balance, and traction. But, this is a far-fetched story for now, since dually concept is available only for heavy-duty trucks with massive torque (over 900 lb-ft) and towing capacity.
2020 Nissan Titan XD Warrior replaces Pro-4X
At this moment, the Nissan Titan XD Pro-4X is the trim level tuned for an off-road drive. In the future, we expect the Warrior concept to become available. This modern concept was presented some while ago. Ever since fans can’t wait to see it on roads. Its armor draws attention. Its interior is even better with the latest features and premium materials. All-terrain tires, shocks, and suspension setup, and turbodiesel engine will make the 2020 Nissan Titan XD Warrior unstoppable, no matter which surface is under its wheels.
2020 Nissan Titan XD Price
The standard offer starts at $34,000. Buyers can always choose: 4×4 drive package (costs $3k), larger cabin (King Cab – $2k; Crew Cab – $5k), or diesel engine (+$6k). Atop of that, there are also various trim levels and the most expensive Platinum truck costs $60,000.
The new 2020 Nissan Titan XD Warrior is going to be even more expensive. With the price tag above $70,000, it will belong to the premium class. However, this model combines utility and luxury, so there are no surprises why it costs so high.
