Outside, we will find a new set of wheels and signature grille. But, the 2020 Sierra HD Denali is all about the interior and premium features the cockpit offers. We already mentioned the most noteworthy addition – transparent trailer. But, the Denali package offers more than that. Leather seats and heating/ventilating function is available for seats. Safety is on the higher level with Driver Alert package included in the offer. An 8-inch screen is the center of the infotainment system, that also comes with 3D navigation. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
2020 Sierra HD Denali Duramax Diesel Specs and New Transmission
Under the bonnet of the 2020 Sierra HD Denali is a 6.0-liter V8 engine. However, the petrol unit is not the favorite one. The truck also offers a Duramax diesel drivetrain. It is a 6.6-liter engine that is capable to produce 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is going to use a new 10-speed Allison transmission. This combination is going to improve the fuel economy, and what is more important – towing capacity. The new 2020 Sierra HD will be able to tow up to 35,000 pounds with gooseneck setup for Sierra 3500 model. We will see if this version is getting a Denali trim. Just for a comparison, the gasoline engine can produce 360 hp and 380 lb-ft, and the towing capacity can’t be compared to the Duramax diesel unit.
2020 Sierra HD Denali Release Date, Price
The new DH lineup, including Sierra 2500 and Sierra 3500 trucks will be available late in summer. The precise release date is not available yet. However, numerous upgrades will increase the price of these premium heavy-duty trucks. Petrol engine in combination with 2WD will be just shy of $60,000. Add a diesel and 4WD, and the cost jumps to $70,000.
