Nismo package is not so frequently used on large vehicles. This time, Nissan is ready to make an exception. Titan, as the full-size truck will debut next season and bring a lot of changes. Instead of the Warrior version, the Japanese company is going to surprise its fans with the 2021 Nissan Titan Nismo. Well, not bad. The performance-oriented package will improve the chances of the currently slowest-selling pickup in the segment.
Titan definitely needs a shocking therapy. The competition is very strong. However, Nissan had a few interesting ideas for this truck. One of them is still in production – a larger XD model, which is not available with the diesel engine anymore. The Warrior concept drew a lot of attention, but the company never decided to start the sales of this one. The 2021 Nissan Titan Nismo is coming out of nowhere. Still, these are just rumors for now. The company is bringing a lot of changes in the next two seasons and the full-size truck must be one of the priorities for the redesign.
More Aggressive Styling, Premium Interior
The 2021 Nissan Titan Nismo will be easy to recognize. Looking at other Nismo models, we see a unique design language with some details common for all vehicles. Red badges and accents are making the appearance more aggressive. The truck will also come with a bolder front fascia, special lights and bumpers, and probably skid plate. Some upgrades which are optional for the existing lineup are becoming standard. Bedliner and other cool box accessories are also possible. The audio system and power outputs are certain, and the tailgate could also bring some radical novelties.
Inside, the Nismo package is using contrast stitching, usually combining leather upholstery with red details. The dashboard will show premium accents. The infotainment system is going to be packed with a lot of advanced technologies, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging… The center of multimedia should be the largest screen Titan truck can offer. The Nismo model will be available for the four-door layout. The company might not offer it with the Regular Cab.
2021 Nissan Titan Nismo Performance Upgrade
We are still wondering what will lay under the hood of the Nismo truck. Standard edition is using a large 5.6-liter V8 engine. However, some say Nissan is going to replace it with a twin-turbo V6. But, this powerplant won’t be out until 2022 season. So, is 400 horsepower enough for the 2021 Nissan Titan Nismo? Well, it is a massive output, but it is not changing anything we can see on the standard edition.
We can imagine the Nismo package with a turbodiesel mill. The oil-burner was discontinued last season for the Titan XD. Now, it can be back for the new truck. A 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 is stepping up with 350 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to improve the performance of this version. Still, the pickup might wait for a turbo-six.
Release Date
The 2021 Nissan Titan Nismo is just a speculation for now. But, things can turn into official in a few months. The Japanese company is not announcing everything about the upcoming changes and fans believe that Titan Nismo is going to be one of the stars of the lineup.
