The Pro-X is a lighter version of an off-road truck. It also requires Short Bed and Crew Cab, but not the 4×4. Plus, there is only one skid plate to protect the underbody, while the Pro-4X has three. Another thing the Pro-X is missing is the electronic-locking rear differential. A few more minor details are making a difference. Converted to price, the 2023 Frontier Pro-4X costs $38,120, or $3,000 more than the Pro-X. The base setup starts just under $29,000 before other fees. Convenience bundle is a $2,000 upgrade, while the Premium Package costs $2,800.
