2018 Ford F-150 Finally gets a Diesel Engine
Few things are already certain about the 2019 Ford F-150 Diesel. First of all, the US carmaker finally launches this kind of engine for its legendary truck. It is another option for buyers. But, at 2018 NAIAS we could finally get an official info about its drivetrain and performance, as well as for release date. Rumors and experts are on the same wavelength about the 3.0-liter V-6 unit. With turbocharger, it can achieve between 200 and 250 horsepower and at least 330 lb-ft of torque.

Nissan, Toyota, Honda are Also Ready For 2018 NAIAS
Japanese carmakers are a growing force in the truck industry. They still can’t compete with domestic vehicles in the US, but the market share also belongs to Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. With significant changes expected for 2019 season, we could see interesting things in Detroit.
First of all, 2019 Nissan Frontier is one of the major threats to the supremacy of Ford and Chevrolet. With its production in Mississippi, it will be more competitive. However, buyers don’t pick truck because of where it is made, but quality and specs determine the bests. Nevertheless, Frontier is one of the leaders in its segment, so Nissan could give us a first look at their most successful truck at NAIAS.
Other two Japanese companies that grow every day are also coming to Detroit. We will have to wait to see if Honda is going to introduce the new Ridgeline Type R. This is a performance-boosted pickup that will also get unique styling.
