2019 Best Full-Size Pickup Trucks

Choosing a proper pickup truck could be a really tough decision. There are many pros and cons, so buyers’ preferences will be the main factor. However, there are differences between full-size and mid-size trucks, that is obvious. But, let’s see the advantages and weakness of big pickups over their smaller siblings.

Performance

The full-size segment is bigger, as everyone can notice from the name. It is logical, that bigger vehicle holds larger engine under the hood. Surely, that brings more horsepower and torque. Furthermore, this leads to better towing capacity. Whatsoever, big trucks don’t have so huge advantage as we could think. For example, properly equipped compact trucks can tow nearly the same, or even more, than its siblings in the base version.

Size and Mileage

Mileage is the cost of power advantage for full-size pickups. Their MPG rating is much lower than mid-size class offers. Even entry-level vehicles can’t compete with smaller trucks in this segment. Also, huge models are not so agile. Using them in cities is not so wise, especially in tight and narrow streets. That is why it is almost impossible to see a full-size truck in Europe.

So, the main market for these vehicles is the US. Domestic companies are way ahead of their Japanese counterparts. Other manufacturers are yet to make any impact in this class. Well, if you definitely choose full-size over the compact truck, we will mention the best models coming for 2019.
