We introduce the new Canyon and its most advanced model, Denali. This package is making the mid-size truck very luxurious and comfortable. Still, a diesel engine will make it capable of working as well. The 2021 GMC Canyon Denali will be able to pull 7,700 pounds.
Changes on the pickup are modest. The company refreshed the look and interior, while the trim levels are getting new names. For example, the base package is now called Elevation Standard, and the next one is Elevation, instead of SLE. The SLT is not available anymore, while the off-road ready version is AT4, which is shorter from all-terrain 4×4. Only the 2021 GMC Canyon Denali comes without such renaming problems, so its fans will recognize the premium truck.
2021 GMC Canyon Denali Interior and Exterior Upgrades
The 2021 GMC Canyon Denali will carry over the features all the trims under it can offer. Of course, more premium equipment is there, starting with the special 20-inch machined wheels. Worth of mention is bed upgrades, such as spray-on bedliner. Also, the Denali package brings LED fog lamps. You won’t find these options at other trim levels.
The interior is even more impressive. The infotainment system is upgraded with advanced Bose audio and wireless device charger. The company takes care of safety, so Driver Alert Package becomes standard. Front seats are getting ventilation. Heated buckets are available at lower trims, while for the Denali model even the rear row offers this function. Wood trim is going to increase the level of elegance.
2021 GMC Canyon Denali Diesel and Petrol Configurations
The base engine for the Canyon pickup is a four-pot unit. However, it is not available for the high-end trim. The 2021 Canyon Denali is coming with a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline unit, capable to produce 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The towing capacity is 5,800 pounds and the engine should be more efficient thanks to the new VVT and direct fuel injection setups. An eight-speed transmission is forwarding power to the rear axle. Of course, a four-wheel drive is also there as an optional upgrade.
The 2021 GMC Canyon Denali Diesel is definitely one of the most exciting versions in the market. The combination of luxury and utility is luring a lot of buyers. Besides the premium interior features, a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel is going to provide 7,700 pounds of towing capacity. The total output of the system based on a diesel power is 200 hp and 370 lb-ft of twist. Nevertheless, this one is going to be launched later.
Colors, Price, Release Date
The base MSRP for the Denali trim is $42,000. There are a lot of upgrades available. For example, you can pay extra for premium colors. The standard paintjob is white. Onyx Black will cost $195, a couple of metallic options (Steel and hunter) are $495, while Red Tincoat will cost you $700. There are also two interior themes available for Canyon Denali. The truck is already available for order, although without all the options. Diesel is not here yet, and we believe that General Motors is preparing even more surprises for the medium pickup fans.
