2021 Ford F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty Trucks

Ford is a leader in the medium-duty segment. Their commercial trucks are generating the most profit. The Blue Oval company was one of the rare truckmakers with Series 6 and 7 models in its offer. New Petrol Drivetrain

The turbodiesel engine is definitely the main choice for the 2021 Ford F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks, but these vehicles will have a new drivetrain. The current generation is using a 6.8-liter V10 Triton engine.  But, starting from 2021 season, truckers are riding on a 7.3-liter V8 drivetrain. The company also released specs of the new engine. With 430 hp at 5,500 rpm and 475 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm, this should be the most capable drivetrain on the market. Whatsoever, Ford is not releasing details about towing capacities and other specs. The new petrol unit is mated to a 10-speed transmission.

Diesel Engine

A 6.7-liter Powerstroke drivetrain is still the most capable engine in the medium-duty lineup. Depending on the setup, the drivetrain can produce 270, 300, or 330 horsepower and 675, 700, or 725 pound-feet of torque. A power router for this drivetrain is a six-pace TorqShift transmission. Optional controls allow a driver to select the most suitable model for the road and weather conditions.

The base model is coming with a towing capacity of 22,000 pounds. Tractor version is the most capable in the lineup. Properly equipped, it can tow 37,000 lbs. We are waiting for the numbers of new petrol drivetrain. Its V10 predecessor could haul 33,000 pounds as well.

2021 Ford F-650 and F-750 Medium Duty Trucks Equipment

These commercial trucks are made for work, not to show off. That is why you can find a lack of features inside the cabin compared to lighter versions. Ford updated the Series 6 and 7 trucks with USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. The drive impression is better and you will feel more like driving the Super Duty model. Traction control and hill assist start are now standard features. Also, F-650 and F-750 are going to use automatic headlamps. You can upgrade the safety of your ride by choosing electronic stability control or lane departure alert. Furthermore, additional packages include adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlamps.
