For years now, there are rumors about F-150 Hybrid, but now the priority becomes an EV.
2022 GMC Hummer EV Specs
Bosses say that 2022 GMC Hummer EV will be available with 1,000 horsepower. Well, this will be beyond the imagination for buyers looking for extra energy. Still, buyers will find lighter versions with up to 625 ponies. The new Hummer is going to compete with Jeep Wrangler and its off-road capability. The e4WD system is something new and makes this truck so special. A 2WD will arrive later. After Edition 1, only lighter configurations are following. That means not every truck is about to return 350 miles in a single charge. There will be versions with 250-300 miles. General Motors will have to work on the recharging network. At this point, we know the company is developing a new system, which will be able to restore the energy for 100 miles in just 10 minutes.
Crab Walk, Extract Mode, and Other Cool Features
Edition 1 of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV has already presented some jaw-dropping systems. To be competitive with the meanest off-road vehicles, the truck will get the so-called Crab Walk feature. It allows the vehicle to move diagonally, with all four wheels moving to the same direction. That is not all, since the Extract Mode lifts the truck by 6 inches. Imagine moving across tough terrain, finding the obstacle you cannot avoid. The extra room beneath the truck could help. Plus, Ultravision surveillance features cameras under the body. So, you will have complete control of moves.
The Infiniti Roof is another thing we cannot find elsewhere. Well, this might be an option for high-end trims, such as Edition 1. Transparent, Sky Panels turn the truck into a convertible vehicle. Super Cruise autonomous drive might reach Level 4 soon and we hope to see it on the 2022 GMC Hummer EV. The electric truck and the self-driving system are the perfect match. Well, for $115,000, this should be standard for Edition 1.
